Email: jstrate@flvs.net
Dr. Joshua Strate attended Florida Atlantic University and obtained an Ed. D. in Curriculum and Instruction specializing in Biological Sciences. He studied the impact science education had on both middle-grade science students and their retention of content. He paid for most of my education by working part-time at Home Depot and full-time as a K-12 educator in Southern Florida. After graduation, he worked as a middle-grade educator in Florida, and an Environmental educator in Central Florida, transitioned to online teaching globally in 2012, and created a Saturday Science program for inner-city students to enjoy science on the weekends. It is the love of science and the focus on the improvement of assessment strategies and education quality for students and stakeholders that have driven my passion for academics. Currently, Joshua strives to balance working as a K-12 online educator and a Post-secondary Educator, both of which are passions of his.
